Richard B. Fisher

Richard B. Fisher, founding financial partner of True Love Productions, was its staunch and good-natured lead supporter. When the company formed in 2001, he was offered his choice of titles. He chose "Admiral". We have respectfully retired the title in his honor.

Dick was the former chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley. He joined the firm in 1962 and began his career in the corporate finance area. He became a Managing Director and Partner of Morgan Stanley in 1970, President in 1984 and Chairman in 1991. He was named Chairman of the Executive Committee in May 1997, following the merger with Dean Witter, and Chairman Emeritus in 2000.

Born in Philadelphia, Fisher received his Bachelor's degree in History from Princeton University in 1957 and his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in 1962 as a Baker Scholar with High Distinction.

Mr. Fisher always devoted his life to public service. He served as Chairman of the Board of Bard College, the Urban Institute and The Rockefeller University. He served on the boards of the Paris Review Foundation, Classroom, Inc. and the American Fund for the Tate Gallery . He was Chairman of the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Endowment Trust, which he founded in 1992.

His support for his wife, Jeanne, in this venture was unflinching and his uncommon vision and adventurous spirit informs all the work we do. Our commitment to excellence and especially to the unexpected is dedicated to his memory.
